Mouse Freezing when brought out of sleep mode.

When our computer goes into sleep mode and we try to wake it the mouse
is frozen. We have to restart to allow us to use the mouse. Is there a
fix for this?

I have the same problem, with a wireless USB mouse, but I've found it does
wake up eventually after a minute or more so you might try waiting longer. A
work around is to log off (using the keyboard) and then right back on which
is faster than doing a full restart.

I have a computer where the USB ports take a while to wake up after the
system comes out of sleep/hibernate mode. Since I use the older ps2 ports
for the keyboard and mouse I only notice the problem when I need to use my
USB printer - sounds like the same problem. Assuming the OP uses a USB
mouse he could put a USB/PS2 adapter on it and use the PS2 port instead (if
he has a PS2 port).
