windows explorer vista 32 bit home premium crashing

Ok I have a toshiba satellite with windows vista home premium 32 bit
version and about 3 months ago I started getting this popup out of the
blue that says "windows explorer has stopped working" the problem
details say
problem event name: APPCRASH
application name: explorer .exe
application version: 6.0.6002.18005
application time stamp: 49e01da5
fault module name: StackHash_cec5
fault module version: 6.0.6002.18005
fault module time stamp: 49e03821

Hi,

Nearly always malware related, Have you run full system scans in safe mode
with updated antivirus and antispyware products?
