Problem with IE7
Hi,

Im not sure if this is the right place to post this but im having a problem
with IE7. The thing is it keeps crashing on me every time I try to open a
webpage from a program (e.g. clicking on check for update or get online
support) and also when I click to create a new tab. Im running it on Windows
Vista Premium 32 bit verion. I havent got any toolbars installed and only one
add-on called Internet Download Accelerator (http://www.westbyte.com/ida)
which I installed when I first got my PC and never caused any problems
before. I have no idea what could be causing IE7 to crash. Any suggestions on
what to do would be appreciated.

Try:

(1) Go Start->All programs->Accessories->System Tools->Internet
Explorer(No Add-Ons) and start IE up clean.

Or:

(2) Go into Control Panel->Internet Options->Security Tab and un-check
"Enable Protected Mode."

Re: Problem with IE7
Damn, unfortunately I had a problem with turning off protected mode as pop up
windows wouldnt display correctly and an annoying message came up every time
I opened a new webpage telling me that My computer might be at risk. Click
here to change security settings. Also every time I used the address bar it
opened the site in a new tab rather than just replacing the current site I
was in. I had to turn protected mode back on and now it keeps crashing again.

Strange. I got that warning *once*, and after clearing it didn't see it
again. WRT the popups, you might find the answer in Tools->PopUp
Blocker->Popup Blocker Settings.

I'd check Tools->Internet Options->General (Tab)->Tabs Settings Button
and drill around for how I wanted the settings. Oh, and maybe the
Restore Defaults button.
