First of all, take a look in Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Error
Reports and Solutions. Your problem should have been automatically reported,
and a solution may be available.
If not, try the System File Checker Tool:
Open up a command prompt window as administrator, by right-clicking the
command prompt icon > Run as Administrator. Confirm. At the prompt, type
"sfc /scannow" (without the quotes). Keep your installation media close,
Windows might need it to replace corrupted files.
If neither works, you might consider System Restore, and in worst case a
repair install.
