Whenever it opens up something..its slow.

Ok whenever i click on something like 'My Computer'.. it goes really
slow. When i got

the laptop it wasn't that slow

Do you know how to fix it.. im running Windows Vista Basic

Without you giving us any indication of what the computers physical
resources are it is difficult to assist you.

If you have a marginal computer it could be just the addition of a lot of
programs that run a module at startup and then keep the module running as
you use the computer.

If it is a powerful computer, in addition to the above, it is likely that
your computer has become infected.

More info would certainly be helpful!

try A) going to device manager disk drives right click then performance.
B) 'www.auslogics.com' (http://www.auslogics.com) then products then
