Svchost application deleted today
Whenever I start or reboot my computer I get the window of Svchost
Properties, with the message that this application was "deleded today". Even
if I accept the Restore option it will come up next time I reboot. Does
anybody know the implications and howto fix this ?

Re: Svchost application deleted today

There is a program I purchased called -Vista Manager-. It has a Windows
Repair option that scans your /Windows Directory thoroughly, checks &
repairs broken files, .dlls, etc..., as well as replaces/re-adds altered
& missing files.

I've had the same issue before on my x86 Sony Vaio, and after a quick
TRIAL of the program I noticed it had such a feature. I purchased it
soon after and ran the repair, restarted, and it worked 100%.

It may not work for everyone, but I'd highly recommend trying it.

Why did you pay for something that is included with the Vista operating
system?

It is called the System File Checker (SVC) and can be implemented by you at
any time you see fit.

Correction:

The abbreviation for System File Checker is SFC, not svc.

Blame it on fat fingers! (-:
