How do you Log off another user?

I keep several different profiles on my computer so that everyone in the
family has there own email and settings. Although I am always trying to
get my kids to close all programs and log off, often I find that they
walk away from the computer without logging out. I am thinking that
this is using up my computer resources and I like to log them off
myself.

When I had XP I was able to start the task manager, select users, and
then log off any user. Now in Vista, it says that the user could not be
logged off. I am the administrator of the computer and I should be able
to do this, shouldn't I? My only alternative at this point is to
re-start the computer. Is there a better way?

Hello CooSer,

You should be able to do it through the Task Manager. You may not be
elvating the Task Manager by clicking on "Show processes from all
users". This tutorial will help show you how to if needed.

That is tremendous. I guess I was leaving out the step of "Show
prossesses of all users". Thanks so much. I've been wanting to do this
for half a year!
