Comp won't restart correctly....

... it goes through the motions and all my peripherals power down, but i
have to use the power button in order to get it to actually turn off.
Everything's good when i power back on though.. just as if it had
restarted normally.

it's not that big of a deal, just annoying. so, any help would be
greatly appreciated*.
