Windows update on laptop when not connected to office WSUS server?
Hi,

My laptop is joined to the office domain and gets windows updates from
a WSUS server when connected to the LAN. Is there any way to run
windows update when it can't access the WSUS server (as is frequently
the case)? I have admin access to the laptop.

Thanks

Re: Windows update on laptop when not connected to office WSUS server?
Hi,
Start > gpedit.msc > Computer Configuration > administrative templates >
windows components > Windows update > "Specify intranet Microsoft update
service location" > Disabled

However, that setting is probably enforced in GroupPolicy so I doubt you
will be able to modify it.
