Hama 46958 Cardreader causes Vista black screen at startup

I was delighted when my TravelMate 6in1 cardreader worked with Windows Vista.

But when Vista started to play up (failing to shutdown unless I hit the
power-switch, and then failing to start) I eventually narrowed down the
problem to the cardreader and its drivers.

Be warned. If you must use it, Safely Remove it before sleep / hibernation /
shutdown.
