Re: Wrong CPU speed, with Q6600
My guess is that the system reads the processor ID string, which is what it
is originally, but the BIOS and CPU-Z report the actual speed of the
processor.
To further illustrate, some processors with variable speed, such as the
Intel speedstep, will cause the BIOS and CPU-Z to report the altered speed,
but the system will always report the processors rated speed.
