Power Mode changes after gameplay
Hi,
I'm using Vista 32 bit, and I have an AMD X2 5000+ that is clocked at
3.0Ghz. Whenever I play a certain game and exit, my power management
seems to stop working. I know this because cpu-z shows my "Core Speed"
drops to 2.6Ghz. Try as I might, switching between Balance mode and
Performance mode, the speed neither decreases to save power, nor
increases back to its 3.0Ghz performance. I have to reboot the system to
get the extra speed back. I am very new to overclocking and had help
setting it up, but is this how it usually works? If any more information
is required, here is my system setup:
4GB DDR2 Ram, GeForce 7600 GT, and vista is using SP1. The system is
clean installed as of earlier today.
Regards,
Kim
