Graphics look smeared

I am not computer literate at all so pls don't laugh too hard. All the icons
and words (everything) on my screen looks smeared to the right. I have no
idea why, probably something simple and stupid, but I have no idea how to fix
it. Please help me.

that sounds monitor related to me.....? is it a flat panel..
