installing games

I have windows xp, After downloading a game it say ( need to change display
setting to 600x800 and 16 bit) so I did now it says out of memory, so I added
more memory. It's saying the same thing. Can someone help me out?

You could, possibly, try posting in a group for XP. This one, if you look
very closely, says VISTA........
