Maybe there aren't any older than five days.

My system currently has only two restore points (happened yesterday)
and there is no box offered.

Try to manually set a restore point to see if it's working.

If it works, leave your computer on for a day or so and see if it sets
another restore point on its own. It is supposed to do it once a
day, but if you don't keep it on long enough and are using it heavily
when it is on, it may not get the opportunity to set a point.

Because not showing Restore Points older than 5 days is by design.

On the Choose restore point screen, select your restore point from the menu.
Select the "Show Restore Points Older Than 5 Days" box. After selecting
your restore point, select the Next button to continue.

Please note that restoring much past a few days or a week is not
recommended. What problem are you trying to solve with a System Restore?
Perhaps there is a better way.

Hello Faidi,
Have you resently used "disk cleanup" option ?
My speculation is : You ran a disk cleanup, chose OS to cleanup,
clicked More Options, and clicked "cleanup" under System Restore and
Shadow Copies.
If you did that, you would start with no restore point because you had
wiped out all the restore points. That would explain why you had less
than 5 days of restore points.
