when away from pc - interenet connection stops

Hello,

When i am away from my pc for a little while and the screen is dark (i have
screen saver disabled but this still happens) i find that the applications
that are connected to the internet have lost their internet connection.(And
those applications can not always successfully get reconnected,when the
mouse is moved)

Is there anyway to stop losing the internet connection when i am away from
the pc?

Start Icon
Right click on "Computer" (Allow)
Manage
Click Device Manager in left

Find your Network adapter. in the device manager. double click it
Power Management tab
Un-Tick "allow.. turn off.."
OK

That might prevent the problem IF the whole computer is NOT
Hibernating (by default Power options)

Check the properties of the connection: connection might be automatically
disconnected after a certain idle time (20 minutes is standard). Change that
to "never". (Find it under Internet Options - connections - properties.)
The screen gets dark also after a certain time unless you change that under
energy settings, has nothing to do with the screensaver. (Find it under the
system control panel.)
