trouble backing up

ive had vista for two weeks now and i get prompted to back up. i had a go
using wizard but at 75% of the run it has froze and will not allow me to take
the dvd out. i am using a dvd-r 4.7gb. I have left it running now for over
eight hours without anything moving. Does it take up to a day for completion.

My guess is your backup is larger than 4.7GB.

You probably need to shutdown via the power button.
