Same for me. I installed the "TopProcess.gadget" so I could see when Outlook
as a running process is done closing things up. I've been able to avoid the
data file check issue on Outlook start by waiting until I don't see Outlook
listed in the process list before closing my aircard connection (I'm on an
Exchange server), or shutting down the PC. Takes less than 10 to 15 seconds.
It'll be interesting to see if SP1 resolves any of this.
