Don't stop there... ; )
<cmd_output OS="XPsp2">
F:\>set /a c = 0x3715
14101
F:\>net helpmsg %c%
14101 is not a valid Windows network message number.
</cmd_output>
Does your OS give any different response to: net helpmsg 14101
What is the context of the error code in the log(s)?
Hint: search files which were changed when attempting the update
for both 80073715 and 14101
E.g. perhaps you will find a message such as this in there?
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sup...ched&LCID=1033
(Live Search for
Vista 14101 site:microsoft.com
)
Etc.
