Computer restarts in the night? Why?

Several times over the last month I have come down to my computer only
to have found that it has restarted in the night. I checked to see that
it wasn't a vista update and there was none. Is there a way I can tell
what caused this and why? I just installed vista in December and all
else seems to be working great. Thanks.

Hi ingeborgdot,

It usually turns out to be the network device waking up the computer
(Step 5). See if these steps can help you find and fix the sleep mode
problem.

Go into the BIOS setup program and turn off all "Wake on..." options.
