Starting playlist out of sleep does not work (task scheduler)
Hello,
I want to start my wmp playlist on a certain hour of the day. I make a
'basic task' using task scheduler and complete the fields. I then go to
'properties' of that task and enable 'wake the computer to execute this task'.
When I test the task and I do _not_ put the computer to sleep, it works
perfect. Wmp pops up and starts playing. When I _do_ put the computer to
sleep, the computer wake's up at the correct time but it just sits at the
login screen and does nothing. I can login and the computer simply works but
there's no view of the task being executed. Not even task scheduler said that
it even tried executing the task, allthough it did wake up the computer!
I have tried enabling 'execute this task with user logged on or no user
logged on'. I also tried 'give elevated priviliges' (or something like that)
- all in the tasks's properties, but none of the options change anything.
What's wrong? How can I fix this? I remember in XP it worked flawless but
the task manager and user management is different in Vista so I guess I might
be doing something wrong.
Best regards,
Thomas
