Defrag Problem

Just got a new PC with Vista Home Premium. Now, Disk Defragmentation won't
load. Computer thinks for about half a second and then nothing. Help.
FYI....does same thing for Lavasoft Ad-Aware. any ideas?

Can't help with your defrag problem, but you may need to add Ad-aware
to the Data Execution Prevention exception list. When I installed Ad-
aware it wouldn't run until I put it in the DEP list. This only
matters if you have DEP enabled for "all programs and services".

defrag on vista runs in the background.
thee is no on screen information as to its progress,

you can check task manager to see if it is running.
