Folder / File Icons Gone, Reappear on Resize

For several folders including Documents and and folders where I store media,
I have the icon size set somewhere between large and extra large. This will
show Folder icons with previews and previews of images or videos or
documents. Recently however this stopped working. Here's a screenshot:
http://a.imagehost.org/0141/folderswtf.png . If I resize the images or change
to list or detailed and then go back, they reappear. Everything is updated
and it's really getting annoying.

Did you ever find a fix for this. I have the same exact problem.
