Start Up Gets Stuck

Windows Home Premium
I am posting this in Safe Mode.

When I restarted my laptop tonight, it went as far as my desktop, then
stopped. The hard drive light stayed on solid (no blinking) for about 15
minutes, then I gave up and turned off the laptop. I tried it again, same
results.

Thanks for any help!
