Harddrive

When playing a AVI file in Windows Vista Ultimate, the movie pauses of a
second and then i can hear Hard drive speed up. i have 3harddrives and i
cannot idenitfy which one it is. Also i have a dual boot so this prob does
not happen in the XP. Is there a power saving option i can change?

Had the same problem while gaming I would get this 3 second pause and
didn't know why, well I finally could hear one of my hard drives spin up
and found my drive was set to spin down

yes, well enough hidden...
-- go to the screensaver properties
-- click the link 'modify power save' (or the like, i've got an italian
vista)
-- there should be three main settings. under each, a link. clic the one
under the setting you're using.
-- in the page with screen/suspend options, click the link 'change settings'
-- click the pluses for harddisk and set it.
