Re: Backup error about space on Windows disk (0x81000014)
Will Do CHrisitine. It went fine twice then it happened again. Now It is in
the middle of a backup which has been going all day (and shouln't have as
there wasnt that much stuff and the last one only went for a few mins)...
hasnt stopoed yet though.

Once it is done I wilol send you the logs.

This is very od and this odd behavior wasnt happening for a year before now.

Re: Backup error about space on Windows disk (0x81000014)
Is there any traction on this issue?

I had a backup set run fine a few times and then fail with this
error. It was one of the reasons I was looking forward to SP1. No
joy, same error.

I have 46GB free on the C:\ and over 400GB free on teh bcakup drive.

The error message says that it needs at least 400 MB free space to
continue (but it does not say where!)

Re: Backup error about space on Windows disk (0x81000014)
I just reformatted my drive and reinstalled everything after updating to SP1...

STILL getting this error ahbout 400 MB free. I can keep restarting the
backup but this error keeps on coming.

I too have this issue constantly, lots of search results for this problem but
no solutions anywhere - come on Microsoft let's get this resolved, I didn't
pay good money for Vista Ultimate to get broken bits...

Re: Backup error about space on Windows disk (0x81000014)
Hi Jason, we haven't been able to pin point the issue from some of the
previous logs sent by other customers. It'd be great if you could share you
trace files as well. (C:\Windows\Logs\WindowsBackup)

Thanks,

Have emailed those, but of the 7 files sent, 5 of them are around 10mb and
have been rejected by your mailserver, is there another way to send them?

You could try one of those online file transfer sites, such as
www.yousendit.com or sendthisfile.com
