Resolution Problems

The resolution on my laptop just started to have problems. It had been
working fine, but suddenly screen looks like it would have looked in 1985
with 16 bit color and huge letters. When I start in safemode everything
appears to be fine. I've checked the resolution setting in the Display menu
and that seems to be fine. I also tried reverting back to an older graphics
driver. I have a Lenovo T61 with an NVIDIA Quadro 140m graphics card. I had
been running an old game in dosbox when the computer froze up. I restarted
and now everything is screwed up. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
