Formatted to NTFS but Backup still fails
Hi,
I recently bought a 500GB external harddrive. I installed it, tried
backing-up and this failed with error message 0x81000008 (Corrupt File
System).
So, I found this excellent forum and reformatted the drive from FAT32
to NTFS and lo and behold it worked! Yeay! I then started to archive
all my MP3s, movies, photos, etc.
A week or so later I have just tried to backup again and the process
has failed with the same error message! I have scanned the disk for
errors (none reported) and the disk manager confirms that the drive is
in an NTFS format.
I am loathed to "un-archive" all those tunes & clips, etc in order to
try re-formatting again. Any suggestions?!?!?
