windows explorer

i have a problem with the explorer on vista
i have home premium 32 bit
it keeps on crashing on me and when i downloaded the update that was sugested
by the system (Technical Information
Performance and Reliability Pack (KB938979)
it told me this is not aplicable to your system
what should i do
i sent feedback back to microsoft but no help yet
does any one know what to do?
