how do i decide whether i need these vista hotfixes?

i have configured vista to automatically update.

now NVIDIA recommends these vista hotfixes:

question: given my automatic update configurartion, does ms automatically
these hotfixes? how can i tell whether they have been installed?

fyi, i wound up at nvidia because i was having a mouse-freezing problem.

Hi,

Most of those look like optional updates, so they wouldn't be automatically
installed (that is usually reserved for critical ones). You can check to see
which ones are already installed in the Control Panel under Programs and
Features, click the line in the left column to "View installed Updates".
