Hey I had the very same problem. Here's what you do. First of all get
the thought out of your mind that your PC is messed up. Lol. That helps.
Now, right click computer and go to properties. From here go to "System
Protection" (upper left). In this window you will notice a section
showing your available disks. If you have 2 hard drives 1 would be
"Recovery" and the other would be "Windows". If you have 1 hard drive,
my guess would be that it's split in 2. So you would have 1 part as
"Recovery" and the other as "Windows". Whatever the case, you should
check the box next to your "Windows" disk and leave the "Recovery"
*_unchecked_*. After which your system restore will be enabled to your
"Windows" disk. Feel free to create a restore point at that time. It
wouldn't hurt. Hopefully that solves your problem.
