What should the computer type be in control panel/device manager ?
Curious as to what the correct listing should be in control panel/device
manager under computer. Mine currently is listed as ACPI X86-based computer,
which I assume is correct ?. My processor is an AMD X64 XP 4800+ running
Vista 32 bit Ultimate.
Thanks,
Bob

The reason I ask is because when I was using XP this was listed as a
multiprocessor ACPI computer as the processor is a dual core. Has Vista done
away with the multiprocessor label?
Thanks,
Bob

"X86" based refers to 32 bit - this may be since you are running 32 bit
(x86) Vista. Vista has an option for indicating a dual core processor -
unfortunately I am not at the Vista computer at the moment.
