Windows Experience rating drops

I recently replaced both my old laptop and desktop with a new HP dv9000
series notebook. Out of the box My Windows experience rating on the graphics
was 3.0 (my lowest score). over the past 6 months, I have installed the
recommended updates, drivers, etc. that HP and MS have sent my way. To my
chagrin, my graphics experience rating has fallen to 2.4. As I also game
with this unit I want my 3.0 rating back. Has anyone else experienced this
and have you been able to re-elevate your scores?
