Hello. Yup you're right away mode is what's causing this. It basically
stops the machine from sleeping encase you want to fire up your Xbox 360 and
connect to the computer.
If you go to Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> Power Options ->
Edit Plan Settings -> Change advanced power settings ...... phew....
Then go to Multimedia settings and you'll have three options, Prevent idling
to sleep, Allow the computer to sleep and Allow the computer to enter away
mode.
Pick the one you want and it should be sorted.
