Cannot resume from hibernation

Hi all,

My laptop (Fujitsu Siemens Amilo) cannot resume from hibernation. After the
first screen with the Windows Vista logo and the text "resuming" it just
appears a blank screen with nothing but a cursor. All that helps is then
rebooting. The sleep mode works as it should.

Any suggestions?

Yup, happening to me on my Dell Dimension 4600C desktop (Vista Ultimate RTM)
as well. I've found that if you try again by powering off/on the computer and
telling Vista to try to resume from hibernation again (at the menu prompt),
it usually works. Go figure.
