Open a command prompt and at the > type the following without quotes
"powercfg -H on". Remember you lose the hibernate option from the shutdown
menu if you enable hybrid sleep as the laptop should hibernate after been in
sleep mode automatically. I have set my machines to allow hibernate from
the "shut down" option in the start menu.
