Internet connection icon in notification area
For some strange reason the two little monitors with the red cross remains on
when connected to the internet although there is the odd occasion when it
does change to show I am connected. Any help please.
I have disabled the other network connections as I do not use these.

I use Vista Home Premium.

Re: Internet connection icon in notification area
If it's not supported by the systems around you, turn of IPv6 on the (?all)
adapters.... that *might* help.

Re: Internet connection icon in notification area
Hi Julian,

OK, did that but no difference.

I've uninstalled my Bluetooth connection as I do not use it that often,
uninstalled the LAN adaptor which reinstalled itself and re-installed my
broadband connection but still the icon will not show I am connected. During
this process I reset the Lan adaptor by disabling and enabling it as it said
in the diagnoses section and the icon did change but when I disconnected and
reconnected the problem re-appeared. I tried the resetting process again but
this time nothing happened.

I do not use my Lan connection, only my connection through my phone line.
