Startup problem

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but let me try. I have a
problem with Vista and Outlook 2003.
When I reboot the PC I have to be quick and launch Outlook immedeately as
the desktop shows, if I am not quick enough Outlook will never start, it
hangs with a not responding message.

How can I find out what probram is causing this problem is there some way to
trace what happens during startup, since it seems as some progran or driver
has to be loaded after outlook.
Since if outlook has started once it is no problem to close it and start
Outlook again.
