Interent explorer takes a long time to initiate the default webpag
I have a very painful problem here with my VISTA ultimate box. When I open
the browser it takes exactly 10 seconds to open the default page. Even when
browser initiats the default website, the next website within the same
browser takes the same amount of time to find the page and open the website.
Seems like a dns resolving issue, but not! There should be something wrong
with VISTA box, since I have another machine in the same network/switch
without any problems, but running Windows XP pro.
Even the same problem exists when I use FireFox. This issue seems to be
related to a networking/connectivity problem than IE7 configuration. I tried
to disable all add-ons on both browsers. Cleaned all cookies, history and
temp files. Disabled toolbars, antivirus and other heavy applications. I did
disk clean-up and full disk defragment on the machine. There is no virus, no
spy, nothing! VISTA has latest pathches and updates. The system is now clean
and fresh, I have even disabled the graphical style of VISTA and changed it
to the classical WindowsXP style to prevent consuming memory and cpu time,
but still when open a browser, it takes a long time for initiating the
default page (a simple website layout like google.com).
The same issue happens with all other applications that need internet
access, e.g. Outlook, messengers and... for all of them initiating a
connection is time consuming and takes between 4-10 seconds everytime. The
general performance of machine is perfect and I did not have this issue
before when I started to use this machine.
PLEASE HELP! It's a pain...
