window explorer keep restarting

i have sony vaio sg48gn running vista business 32 bits always keep restarting
the window explorer, sometimes not reponding and must wait for a few minutes
to respond again.
when copying a large file from one folder or cd to hard disk always hang /
window explorer restarting, is the problem with vista or my computer, i have
installed all the updates and makes no different.
