User profile problems
Greetings!
Running Vista Ultimate 64.
I decided to move som folders from my user profile directory onto a
different harddisk, using the "right-click -> properties -> location" method,
and this worked fine. However, this harddisk decided to crash and is
completely unavailable. So, now I have two user profile directories for my
account: C:\Users\<username> containing all the default folders, and
C:\Users\<username>.<computername> containing all the default folders minus
the ones I moved. Now, Vista seems to be using the latter, which sucks as I
then lack several folders in my home directory. How can I make Vista use the
original, fully featured user profile folder?
I tried the "repair damaged user profile" method outlined in the help
system, but merging these two userprofiles into one proved not to work.
Any ideas?
