Device Manager & Activate Windows does not work on controlpanel\sy

When going into the system properties and selecting Device manager or
Activate Windows, the clicks does not respond. The hourglass appears for a
few seconds and then goes away.

When clicking device manager thru the control panel, it works. Is it
possible that the link to these applets are corrupt and how can it be fixed?

I'd like to add that I have this same problem, at least with the Device
Manager. I have already activated Windows so that's not a problem. As far as
a solution, I don't have one, but the workaround I use is to go Start-->Run
and type devmgmt.msc to run the Device Manager console.

Thanks, At least i'm not the only one. I think it happened after a repair
that i've done. If i'm not mistaking, that page is an XML page, it might just
be that the link is corrupt.

Will still appreciate an answer though!
