can I safely remove the Windows Mail folder and all it's sub-folders after switching to TB?

I moved all my email from OE XP system to Vista laptop and imported
all my mail to WM, but have since switched to (and am very happy with)
Mozilla Thunderbird (I imported all my email into TB from WM). Can I
safely delete the Windows Mail folder and all it's sub-folders?
(I ran into WM importing and recovering email continuously and have a
couple of hundred thousand of emails taking up space on my HD.

Deleting the folders is not really necessary(you can if you wish, but if you
have transferred all the mail files you want, just delete them from the WM
folders
