The new OS2?
This is the worst thing since O/S 2!! Toshiba, et al, should have an XP
Professional option when ordering a new laptop!! Vista goes into "Not
Responding" on everything--including Office 2007. It eventually recovers in
15-45 seconds--usually. Even after removing all the hidden garbage.

The Office "Trial" loses real functionality long before the 60-day trial.
Can't even send New " or "Reply" messages form Outlook. What's the point?

On a scale of 1-10, this is a 0.5!! How about a ree XP Professional upgrade?

Re: The new OS2?
In my opinion, O/S 2 was the best operating system to hit the consumer
market - ever. IBM gave up way too early in trying to compete with Microsoft
when MS released Windows 95.

Many banks are still on O/S 2.

Re: The new OS2?
Well, I was an IBM SE then. The training was filled with "the server might
crash"--and it did.

ANyway, that notwithstanding--I need a fix for this fiasco. Microsoft??
Are you there?

Thanks,

Seth

Re: The new OS2?
Some OEMs have Windows XP options, also try a local shop to get a
computer made to your specifications..

"How about a ree XP Professional upgrade?"
Have you asked Toshiba?
Since they sold you the computer, it is up to them.

"The Office "Trial" loses real functionality..."
Then something else is wrong.
Post details and someone maty be able to help.
Or reinstall Office?
Post specifics in an Office newsgroup:
http://aumha.org/nntp.htm
Or contact Toshiba for support since what they sold is not working
properly.
