Vista boot manager problem
Hi!

I have a Dell notebook with Vista Home premium installed.

A few days ago, I started getting a prompt by the Vista Boot manager, every
time I restart the PC.

"Please choose an operating system below"

I only have one copy of Vista installed. There is no 30 second time limit
and it will just stay there until I press enter to continue. There is only
one option.

I tried to modify the MSCONFIG BOOT.INI tab but there is nothing there really.
I also tried to change the "30 second wait" option to "1" second, but it
didn't do anything since there is no timer @ the time of the prompt.

I also tried deleting the entire boot line and the PC wouldn't restart
anymore (expected), so I had to recover the boot manager using the Vista DVD.
Still, the same problem is still there

How do I fix or remove the boot manager prompt?

Thank You!

Re: Vista boot manager problem

Hi!

Thanks for your reply.

I forgot to mention that I tried Vistabootpro and the only line that it
showed me was the same line seen in the MSCONFIG BOOT.INI tab.
I deleted that line and the PC wouldn't restart.

What else can I do?
