Uninstall button does not appear in Add/Remove Programs

I am using Vista Home Premium and I cannot uninstall any programs. I go to
look for the uninstall or change button and I do not see those buttons. Some
programs have it and most of them do not have the button. I tried it in
administration mode and it still does not work.

Any suggestions??

Highlight a program and then the button appears.

I highlighted it and I get the same thing. Also, I get strange program
names, ex: ESSBWR
