Windows Media Center Edition 2005 + Windows Vista Ultimate DualBoo
Laptop Acer 9412WSMi 2GB Ram with 4GB SD card (Ready Boost).
Having run this laptop now for over 6mnths and not had 1 BSOD I can only
conclude its OK.
My only disappointment is the NVidea GeForce Go 7300 card fitted in this
machine as this drops the performance from 4.9 all other hardware to 3.0 for
graphics!!
All round performance is better than WMCE 2005 and have found over the last
few weeks that I am going into my other OS less and less so am thinking about
binning XP all together.
Software install can be a problem sometimes as drivers are not fully
compatible still but this will resolve itself with time.
For peeps worried about drivers and security it is possible to install
different drivers on different partitions whether they are hardware related
or software.
Example Norton 2007 on XP install AVG pro on Vista, Vista NVidea driver and
XP NVidea Driver installed so no conflicts at all.
Really am surprised at the number of people having problems with Vista
install. As my own install and that of the other upgrades I have done for
peeps has gone without a problem maybe a driver update required here and
there but nothing else.
I did find the Upgrade advisor program which can be downloaded from
Microsoft a great help in checking systems in real time before upgrading.

Vista Ultimate Edition verses XP Pro or MCE Ultimate wins hands down.
