Problems with fonts in Vista / IE 7
I have various problems with Windows Vista and IE 7.0. Maybe you can give me
a hint how to troubleshoot them. I googled this issue and checked the MS
Knowledgebase but as it seems I am quite alone with this kind of problem.

A few weeks ago Vista prompted that there is a problem with Arial.
Unfortunately I couldn┬┤t read all of the message and thought that it is
probably neglect able and caused by the old program I just opened. Later I
learned, that in some windows or fields (help files) the font type and size
has changed. E.G. when I opened the Google page in IE 7 everything seemed
normal except the font type (serif type) and size (probab. 6pt) in the Google
search field.

Since then I tried various things:
- Checked registry
- Copied the fonts again from the Vista-Installation-CD into the Windows/fonts
- Reseted IE7

Now, I have no clue what else could be done. I am working in an IT
department and am technically not a total amateur. But this time I am really
clueless and can need some help. Especially since all the sudden Mindmanager
(Defaulted to Arial) seems to not work any longer on my Vista system. All
repair and reinstall activities where not successful.

Any hint is highly appreciated.

Ciao

Michael (from Germany)
