Logging onto Windows 2003 server with Vista

I have a problem - when logging into a windows 2003 Server using Remote
Desktop Connection -- the login window freezes and I am not able to
continue. Has anyone had any luck using Remote Desktop to connect to a 2003
server?

I'm able to log into the Windows Home Server RC1, which is based on 2003
server.

I log on to dozens of Server 2003, Server 2003 R2 and Server 2008 systems
from various Windows Vista PCs using Remote Desktop Connections - and other
then the security dialog being thrown for the down-level servers there are
no problems connecting at all.

As others have already posted your situation is not normal. Are there any
errors in the event logs? Does the Security log on the server show any
errors? Is the server on the local lan or are you accessing it via the
Internet?
