Vista should works with Windows 2000 DC. Vista adds more features such as security and IPv6 so that the settings may be different from previous OS.

I work for a small library and am about to order a new laptop for the
director. Since Vista is now available, I am not sure what to get. All
of the other machines we have are XP Pro. and we probably will not be
upgrading any time soon. So, I can either get a new laptop with XP
Pro. or keep moving ahead and get Vista Business.
But, my big concern is this. In the near future, we might get a server
donated to us. It has MS Server 2000 on it and I am not sure yet if it
can handle Server 2003. There is a lot of unknown factors here.
What I am trying to figure out is if anyone has had any problems with
Vista and Server 2000 compatibility.
Thank you very much.
